Primary fields of research
My research focuses on the development of age-related eye diseases, and how the immune system is involved in this. Within this topic, I investigate mechanism underlying immune privilege, as well as age-related changes in the immune response and the long-term implications of infections for immune privileged sites.
I perform my research in a collaboration with 2 research groups working within the fields of infectious immunology and eye diseases. You can find me at the Panum Institute on the 13th floor.
