Dr. Doug Kwon, MD, PhD, at Harvard Medical School and Director of Clinical Operations at the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT and Harvard. He has a clinical practice in the division of Infectious Diseases at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Mucosal immunity, microbiota, and tissue inflammation in HIV infection

The focus of Dr. Kwon's research is understanding host-microbiota interactions in the female genital tract, gut, and lung that impact mucosal immunity and human disease, particularly those that disproportionately impact low-resource settings. His lab is involved in developing and applying new technologies to overcome the technical barriers that have impeded our understanding of mucosal immunity to date.
